Struck by Q. Caeclius Metelius Pius, so called to his efforts to restore his father's name and his loyalty. A veteran of the social wars of 89 B.C.E. he was a commander under Sulla.  Appointed consul alongside Sulla is 80 B.C.E. Julius Caesar replaced him as Pontifex Maximus.
